William McKnight, President
McKnight Consulting Group is led by William McKnight. William functions as Strategist, Lead Enterprise Information Architect, and Program Manager for sites worldwide utilizing the disciplines of data warehousing, master data management, business intelligence, data quality and operational business intelligence. Many of his clients have gone public with their success stories.
William is an Ernst&Young Southwest Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, a frequent best practices judge, has authored hundreds of articles and white papers and given hundreds of international keynotes and public seminars. His teams' implementations from both IT and consultant positions have won Best Practices awards. William is a former IT VP of a Fortune 50 company, a former engineer of DB2 at IBM and holds an MBA.
William has overcome numerous complex data acquisition and integration (real-time, sourcing, transforming, syndicated data, cleansing, POS/CDR/RFID source) issues and has hands-on experience with numerous leading MDM/OLAP/BI/ETL tools and database platforms. His breadth of experience with information management product set includes internal product development (source code), IT development, management, analyst and consulting roles. He has produced dozens of analytic models in production worldwide.
William has been involved in information management his entire career. He knows what good work is, having built numerous end client successes, including many for companies in the Fortune 50. His unparallelled exposure to the market infuses ideas into client programs.
William founded and grew McKnight Associates, Inc. during 1998-2005 to placement in the Inc. 500, the Dallas 100 (twice) and the Collin (county) 60. He sold the company to a public firm in 2005. He is author of the book “90 Days to Success in Consulting."
William is the president of the Data Warehousing Institute Dallas Chapter, the longest tenured columnist at Information Management Magazine, a 70+ time speaker at the Data Warehousing Institute, a trainer at SetFocus in the Microsoft BI certification program, an expert blogger for Erwin Data Modeling Expert Blogs, Jaspersoft Technology Blogs and MIKE 2.0 – the Method for an Integrated Knowledge Environment, author of the Master Data Management Architecture and Implementation course at ELearningCurve, author of the Data Warehouse Certification Exam at ReviewNet, a member of the Boulder BI Brain Trust, and a 8-time expert at the Pacific Northwest BI Summit.

Charlie McCarthy, Principal Consultant
Charlie functions as a strategic partner to MCG. Charlie McCarthy is an accomplished Enterprise Architect, having honed his skills and expertise over twenty years as an IT executive and consultant. An expert in the fields of data warehousing and business intelligence, he has advised Fortune 500 and mid-market firms alike on the effective use of such technologies.
Charlie is responsible for overseeing the implementation of off-the-shelf systems and custom-developed applications. He is also called upon to advise clients on emerging technologies such as Service-Oriented Computing, Interactive Data and the Semantic Web. Charlie was Vice President and Enterprise Architect at Fidelity Investments, responsible for the administrative systems that support the office of finance. During his tenure, he also led a team in an Agile program that delivered an enterprise cost and profitability platform. The $30M initiative, 3 years in development, enabled the firm to implement a transformation program that ultimately reduced annual IT spend by more than $900M.
Charlie also spent six years as a Senior Director with The Hackett Group where he supported clients in the implementation of analytic solutions for planning/budgeting and forecasting, and the analysis of key processes in sales, marketing and supply chain with tools from SAP, Oracle and IBM.
Prior to The Hackett Group, Charlie co-founded a data warehousing and OLAP systems integration consultancy.
Charlie has extensive client experience with Financial Services firms, discrete and lean manufacturers, and retailers. His considerable domain knowledge of financial and supply chain processes are a strong complement to his technical expertise.
Madhur Limdi, Principal Consultant
Madhur functions as a strategic partner to MCG. Madhur has nearly 20 years of experience in the Information Technology industry; focusing for the past 18 years on helping clients with Enterprise Information Management (EIM), Data Integration, Data Management, RIA (Rich Internet Applications), Performance Management and Analytics.
Madhur advises clients on how to align technical strategy with business objectives, building technology roadmaps, planning complex solutions and provides engagement oversight. Through this unique skill set, he excels in finding innovative solutions to drive client profitability. His industry expertise includes Insurance, Manufacturing, Telecom and Retail. He has presented at various industry conferences including DCI, TDWI, CAMP, and FINSTRA.
In previous roles, working for consulting firms, he has provided thought leadership, built, and led consulting practices to deliver complex solutions to Global 1000 clients.
Madhur was Managing Consultant at Xpedior and has held various positions at Andersen Consulting, Naviant Technology Solutions and 3COM. He holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and a BE in Electrical Engineering. from Bombay University.
